Marc Jancou Contemporary is delighted to present the first show of Kazuyuki Takezaki in Switzerland.

Kazuyuki Takezaki (1976）is a young artist from Kochi, Japan, whose poetic paintings can best be described as giving form to the memory of a landscape. Despite constructing his picture planes by adding and subtracting various elements, Takezaki's works are characterised by an economy of means which traces their roots back to not just the tradition of painting, but also that of drawing. 

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue with an exhibition text in both Japanese and English by Chief Curator of the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery and author Hori Motoaki.
