Press Release

Marc Jancou Contemporary is pleased to present Heroes and Villains, a group show that illuminates the line between good and evil made poignant in a time of political and economic unrest.
Ranging from a portrait of Andrew WK with a bleeding nose by Roe Ethridge, to a bust of an imagined deity by Steven Claydon, to a resin covered sculpture of Krusty the Clown complete with reptilian tail by Justin Lieberman, the works in the show seem to suggest that there is a little villain in us all.

The exhibition will include works by Andre Butzer, Steven Claydon, Ryan Doolan, Roe Ethridge, Andreas Hofer, Larry Johnson, Martin Kippenberger, Louise Lawler, Justin Lieberman, Nick Lowe, Steven Parrino, Raymond Pettibon, Jim Shaw, Cindy Sherman, and Jacques Louis Vidal.
